Sarah Schenck Ladnier danced with Jane's School of Dance for 18 years and was a member of the competitive lines. After graduating from WCHS in 2002, she attended the University of Kentucky where she danced with the UK Pom Squad while earning her Bachelor's of Science in Education degree with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. She has been a faculty member of Jane's School of Dance since she was 8 years old and has taught everything from first year tap and ballet to solos for some of the older competitive line members. In 2004 she also started a pilot tap program at Kentucky Ballet Theater in Lexington.
After graduating from UK in 2007, she became a pre-school/Kindergarten teacher for Fayette County Public Schools and became the director of our Pre-Dance program. She resigned from teaching in 2011 after 4 years to become a stay-at-home-mom to her son Ayden, now 2, and has another son to be born in late August. Teaching the pre-dance program allows Sarah to continue to enjoy her passion of working with little ones while taking a break from her career. She resides in Versailles with her husband David and their (soon to be) two boys and loves being a member of the JSOD faculty!
